A native San Diegan and Luxury Property Specialist, Jeff Carlson leads The Jeff Carlson Group in the La Jolla office of Coldwell Banker Realty. Together with fellow team member Bree Soellner, he guides a diverse group of clients through the process of buying and selling luxury homes, from the Southern California coast to the Colorado mountains.
After receiving his BA in Economics or Finance from UC Santa Barbara, Jeff directed his ambitions to the financial services industry, where he provided advice and support regarding investments, including bonds, equities, mutual funds, retirement accounts, and derivatives. Jeff has also participated in many entrepreneurial endeavors, including retail, contracting, and international trade, bolstering his already impressive resume.
Jeff’s experience in the local real estate market is widespread, with four generations of relatives involved in real estate sales, investments, and development. His personal business interests trend toward investment in real estate and financing. Specialties in which Jeff earns prominent marks are investment syndication, joint ventures, capital raising, repositioning of distressed assets, development, acquisitions, sales, leasing, financing, analytics, and management related to real estate assets.
In addition to his professional successes, Jeff uses his talents to influence foster youth to become leaders. As a 5-year Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) through the San Diego governing organization Voices for Children, Jeff has volunteered his time and passionately invests in the lives of future generations.
As a hobby, Jeff takes to the air as a General Aviation Pilot, holding a Private Pilot’s License with an Instrument Rating. He currently flies a Piper Meridian Turboprop, a variety of Cirrus aircraft, and his favorite is a 1974 Bellanca Citabria. Another passion of Jeff’s finds him in the local waters of San Diego. With over 35 years of surfing experience in both the San Diego area and international destinations, he has some amazing stories that he would be happy to share.
